Coltin Quagliano of the Wethersfield Flying Geese has been named as the player of the year by the Dispatch Argus and sports writer Terry Duckett.
This honor for the sophomore guard joins a list of other prestigious honors.
Those honors include 1st Team State by the Associated Press, IBCA All State in Class 1A, and unanimous 1st Team All Lincoln Trail Conference.
Quagliano averaged 22.5 points per game with 5.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 2 steals per game during the 2018-19 basketball season.
Also receiving recognition was teammate Isaac Frank of Wethersfield, along with Carson Sauer and Kavon Russell of Kewanee, Ganon Greenman of Ridgewood, Julian Samuels of Annawan, Trey Essig and Rahaun King of Mercer County and Josh Johnson and Caleb Spranger of Orion.
